THE HOME-OFFICE EXPERIENCE IN THE AGE OF COVID-19 | United Workplace
12.06.2020

This survey was conducted between 6 April and 16 April 2020 in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic, during which period a large number of countries decreed a state of mandatory social isolation with a view to decreasing the likelihood of infection. As a result, most companies—and, consequently, their collaborators—have had to adapt their operations so as to work remotely. Through this study, we have aimed to examine the home-office experience on a regional scale and under the exceptional circumstances to which we are presently subject. Moreover, our questionnaire was addressed both to people who regularly resort to the home-office arrangement and people who do not—in fact, for many of our respondents, this is the first time they have had the chance to work from home.

Change is here and it has unexpectedly become the new norm. While it is too early
to predict its consequences with any degree of certainty, we can definitely say that this experience will forever change the way we work, and will have a significant impact on team management and the use of the workplace.
